What Are C2PA Content Credentials?
C2PA (Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity) is an open technical standard backed by Adobe, Microsoft, Google, Intel, and Leica. It binds cryptographic assertions to image containers to track asset lineage and author identity:
Container-Level Lossless Stripping
Our parser locates the binary JUMBF manifest blocks and removes them from the file container without re-encoding the compressed image stream. Your pixel data remains 100% untouched.
Supported Formats
- JPEG (.jpg): Strips
APP11marker segments holding JUMBF payload boxes. - PNG (.png): Purges
caDX,c2pa, andjumbancillary chunks. - WebP (.webp): Removes
c2paandjumbRIFF chunks.
Manifests vs. Invisible Pixel Watermarks
Removing C2PA removes the declarative container manifest. It does not alter invisible steganographic pixel watermarks (such as Google SynthID or DeepMind imperceptible frequency marks embedded into pixel values). Our two-pass verification scanner rescans the file container to verify that 0 C2PA manifests remain before reporting success.
How to Remove C2PA Credentials in 4 Steps
- Select your file: Drag and drop any image suspected of containing Content Credentials.
- Scan C2PA blocks: Click "Inspect Metadata" to detect JUMBF and C2PA markers.
- Strip manifests: Choose "Remove C2PA Content Credentials".
- Verify and download: Review the verification check confirming 0 manifests remain, then download.
